Teeth Whitening

Our busy lifestyles coupled with habits such as smoking, drinking alcohol, tea or coffee – in addition to tooth decay, tartar and fillings – are major factors why teeth become stained and discoloured. The Ascroft Medical Team of Dentists can provide teeth whitening treatments to give you that smile you’ve always wanted.

Our 4 Steps to Laser Teeth Whitening

  1. At the beginning of the procedure, you will require some light preparation to protect your gums and the skin around your mouth, this will leave only your teeth exposed the laser light.
  2. The whitening gel will then be applied by the dentist, which is specially formulated to work rapidly with laser light to whiten your teeth. As the light and gel begin to work together they will gently remove stains and discolouration.
  3. The total duration for the procedure is 45 minutes, however this ill be broken into three 15 minutes session where the gel will be removed and reapplied, removing stains in the process. The dentist will monitor throughout and consult you on the desired teeth shade.
  4. After the final session is complete, the dentist will remove any residue from your teeth, leaving you with a revived brighter smile.

Home-based Teeth Whitening

If this treatment is suitable for you, one of our dentists will give you a specially made mouth tray and some whitening gel.

The mouth tray can be worn for around eight hours a day, which is why it’s usually worn overnight. It may take a few weeks or more to achieve the lighter shade you desire.
