Blood, urine and other specimen testing is the quickest, easiest and the least invasive methods to diagnose a number of health problems.
We offer a variety of biochemical, immunological and haematological blood tests as well as urine, stool and microbiological tests. For our Patients convenience, we offer various health packages at competitive prices as some conditions require a number of tests to be diagnosed correctly.
The laboratory service is available to all members of the public on a self-paying basis.

Private laboratory tests at Ascroft Medical can be carried out at your request with convenient appointment times, including weekends and outside of work/school hours.
Our laboratory tests are fully independent from the NHS.
Samples are collected by qualified medical personnel – nurse or phlebotomist.
The tests results’ (password protected) can be sent to the e-mail address you provide at registration or collected in person.
All data is treated with the strictest confidence in accordance with the GDPR.

The majority of the tests are performed fasting.
Make sure you will not eat anything or drink sweetened drinks for at least 8 hours before blood is taken unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
Any urine test should be performed from the first morning sample.
Any Patient under 18 years of age needs to be referred by a medical doctor to have a blood test done. For safety and comfort of children and young people we are not able to perform blood tests for Patients under 18 without a doctors referral.
