Dr Emilia Gąsiorowska is a graduate of the Medical University in Poznań. She obtained the title of specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics in 2016 and in Gynecological Oncology in 2019. She obtained the title of doctor of medical sciences in 2016. He is a member of the Polish Society of Oncological Gynecology and ESGO – the European Society of Oncological Gynecology.
Since 2009, he has been working at the Gynecological Oncology Clinic at the Gynecology and Obstetrics Teaching Hospital of the Medical University of Poznań, where he operates, offering patients minimally invasive – laparoscopic and maximum saving methods wherever possible. Laparoscopy is also the gold standard in the treatment of early stages of endometrial cancer due to the numerous benefits for this group of patients resulting from the use of the minimally invasive method, such as: low blood loss, better tissue healing, less need for painkillers, less risk of complications, quick recovery for daily activities. Dr. Gąsiorowska deals with the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological diseases, including cancers of the reproductive organ, as well as the treatment of urinary incontinence and the reduction of the vaginal walls and the reproductive organ.
Since 2012, Dr. Gąsiorowska has been employed at the Medical University, currently as an assistant professor, where she conducts classes with Polish and English-speaking students in the field of oncological gynecology, perinatal care and childbirth. The clinical and scientific interests of Dr. Emilia Gąsiorowska, MD, PhD include early diagnostics and surgical treatment of gynecological neoplasms, in particular cytoreductive ovarian malignant neoplasms and minimally invasive surgery.
The scope of gynecological services:
Dr. med. Emilia Gąsiorowska participates in numerous national and international courses and internships, recently she completed an internship at Imperial College in London with Prof. Christina Fotopoulou, who specializes in advanced surgery of genital cancer, in particular radical surgery of ovarian cancer. Dr Gąsiorowska has been perfecting advanced techniques of minimally invasive surgery for many years.
